Client Overview: Our client is a fast-paced, global organization seeking a polished and highly service-oriented Hospitality & Operations Specialist to support executive hospitality, events, and workplace operations within their New York City office. Their environment requires someone who can comfortably interact with C-suite executives, high-profile visitors, internal stakeholders, and outside vendors while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Salary/Hourly Rate: Up to $47/hr DOE Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Hospitality & Operations Specialist for a temporary assignment starting ASAP and continuing through the end of October. This position is ideal for an events or hospitality professional who thrives in a high-touch corporate environment and can seamlessly manage executive-level meetings, guest experiences, vendors, catering, and day-to-day event operations. The ideal candidate is poised, professional, proactive, and highly adaptable. They should remain calm in busy situations, anticipate needs before they arise, and be willing to jump in wherever support is needed. Discretion and professionalism are essential when interacting with senior executives and high-profile guests. Responsibilities of the Hospitality & Operations Specialist: Coordinate meetings, events, executive visits, and other onsite programming from start to finish. Manage catering logistics, including ordering, payment, delivery, setup, and onsite vendor coordination. Oversee the guest experience from arrival through departure. Welcome executives, visitors, and other guests while providing attentive and professional service. Anticipate guest and stakeholder needs and proactively address requests. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure events and meetings run smoothly. Manage multiple events and activities while resolving scheduling or logistical conflicts. Maintain a polished and organized environment for meetings and special events. Provide workplace and administrative support as needed. Track operational expenses and assist with budget reconciliation. Support vendor invoicing, payments, contract renewals, and negotiations. Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or high-level interactions. Remain flexible and adjust quickly as schedules, priorities, and event needs change. Required Experience/Skills for the Hospitality & Operations Specialist: 3+ years of experience in corporate hospitality, event management, meeting planning, workplace experience, or a similar high-touch environment. Previous experience coordinating events, meetings, and VIP or executive guest visits. Comfortable interacting professionally with C-suite executives and high-profile individuals. Exceptional customer service and hospitality skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities. Ability to remain calm, polished, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Proactive and flexible approach with a willingness to assist wherever needed. Ability to manage multiple priorities and quickly change direction when necessary. Must be available to work onsite five days per week in NYC's Financial District. Must have flexibility for occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends depending on event schedules. Preferred Experience/Skills for the Hospitality & Operations Specialist: Experience supporting executive-level or VIP events. Understanding of international etiquette, customs, and cultural considerations. Fluency in additional languages is a plus. Experience with Tripleseat, Slack, Apple macOS, and Google Workspace. Background within corporate events, luxury hospitality, executive services, or another high-touch environment. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent relevant professional experience.
