Make a real difference in the daily lives of students by working as a Paraprofessional (Educational Technician) on a contract basis near Westbrook, ME. Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 2 years of college education required; 3 years strongly preferred (aligning with Ed Tech III requirements)
- Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) in a school or educational setting
- Understanding of student behavioral management strategies
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with faculty, students, and parents
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide academic and behavioral support to students in general and special education settings
- Assist lead teachers with instructional activities, classroom organization, and materials preparation
- Supervise students both in and out of the classroom, promoting a positive learning environment
- Implement individualized instructional and behavioral plans as directed by certified teachers or school staff
- Document student progress and collaborative notes as needed
