This position reports to the Campus Director (CD). Works independently within the perimeters set by Campus Director. Must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop , have ability to handle various bookkeeping tasks, ensure ministry-wide policy and procedures are adhered to, meet demands of special projects in a professional and confidential manner. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures that the bookkeeping office runs smoothly and professionally.
• Count cash sales on a daily basis and prepare deposits, post accounts payable in QuickBooks Desktop.
• Prepare reports for each sale day.
• Verify coin and cash from the bank then prepare bags for each register.
• Collect drop money from the Cashiers and make change throughout the day as needed.
• Close registers at the end of the day and run reports.
• Code invoices with correct department and attach packing slips and P.O.’s and present to CD for approval, then forward to Ministry Administration for payment.
• Copy gas receipts received from Dispatch and other departments, ensure correct vehicle number is noted on the receipt, then forward to Ministry Administration for accounting records.
• Pay out Petty Cash receipts. At the end of the month, code all receipts, count cash and request replenishment.
• Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for CD.
• Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
• Offers general bookkeeping assistance to all Campus personnel as needed.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Accounting Assistant: 2 years (Required)
• QuickBooks Desktop: 2 years (Required)
