• Shift: Rotating Night Shift / 6:00pm – 6:00am
• Start Pay Range: $29.50
• Site: This position may be available in the following location: US - Tampa, FL

• Central control: Monitor utilities via PLC/HMI, PI Vision, Trane Tracer, and equipment HMIs; evaluate alarms and coordinate corrective actions; generate Maximo work orders and purchase orders.
• Steam systems: Run and maintain industrial boilers; conduct water chemistry tests, chemical treatment checks, and blowdowns; perform natural gas leak checks; manage condensate return networks, steam traps/condensate stations, surge and deaerator tanks, boiler feed pumps, level controls, regulators, steam hot water heaters, and HVAC reheat. Track boiler certification/site compliance.
• Chilled/condenser water: Operate screw and centrifugal chillers; manage pumps, valves, and controls; optimize cooling towers (balancing, water treatment, chemical management); troubleshoot flow and bypass pressure issues using York/Trane HMIs.
• Compressed air & vacuum: Maintain oil‑free screw compressors, desiccant dryers, receivers, regulators, auto drains, and condensate equipment; verify dew point; use Atlas Copco HMIs; operate vacuum systems.
• Clean utilities: Operate/tune multimedia and carbon filters, softeners and brine systems, flow meters, UV units, fine filtration, RO, and purified water distribution; support MECO vapor compression stills, WFI storage tanks, spray balls, and MECO clean steam generators; monitor TOC and conductivity, perform clean water sampling; complete/review GMP forms; execute stainless steel passivation as needed.
• HVAC & environmental control: Support chilled‑water and DX AHUs, reheat, temperature/RH control; understand cleanroom performance dependencies; assist with investigations and corrective actions after excursions and utility-driven alarms.
• Power & life safety: Support generators, switchgear, diesel fire pumps; safely work around 480V three‑phase; troubleshoot relay logic and control circuits; perform Lockout/Tagout; monitor the Simplex fire alarm system.
• Process waste: Run lift stations and pH neutralization; maintain process waste systems.
• Rounds & records: Perform routine rounds and status checks; maintain complete logbooks and GMP documentation; ensure inspection readiness.
• Projects & shutdowns: PM and corrective maintenance; housekeeping/painting/5S ; troubleshoot pumps, valves, actuators, piping, and controls; partner with engineers and PMs on upgrades, installations, commissioning; coordinate contractors; support semi‑annual shutdowns (extended schedules when required).

• Stay current on GMP/SOP training and execute with precision.
• Support FDA and internal audits, deviations, CAPAs, and inspection readiness.
• Work within safety programs: confined space entry, respiratory protection, hazardous chemical handling, aseptic gowning, and lift equipment procedures.
• Communicate clearly across manufacturing, maintenance, quality, engineering, contractors, and leadership.
• Demonstrate ownership of alarm response, shift turnover, and equipment reliability for 24/7 operations.

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license.
• Preferred education/experience: Technical degree or trade/military technical training; 5+ years in industrial utilities, facilities, maintenance, or control room; experience in pharma/biotech/medical device or other regulated manufacturing.
• Technical strengths: Boilers/steam & condensate; chilled/condenser water and towers; compressed air; HVAC; purified water/WFI/clean steam; vacuum; process waste; mechanical/electrical troubleshooting including relay logic; valves and actuators (pneumatic/electric) ; pumps, piping, and utility controls.
• Automation/tools: PLC/HMI; PI Vision; Trane Tracer (plus Tracer Ensemble a plus); Maximo; MS Word/Excel; ABB VFD programming (preferred); PLC programming (preferred).
• Fabrication & machining (preferred): Pipe fitting/hanging/bending/threading ; ProPress; PVC; stick/TIG welding; lathe and mill operation.
• Certifications (preferred/required): Boiler certification (preferred or required per jurisdiction); forklift/JLG/Lull/scissor lift experience; confined space/respirator qualification; arc flash certification; ability to perform aseptic gowning.

• Stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders; access elevated areas during shifts.
• Lift/carry/push/pull materials and equipment per site requirements.
• Work in mechanical rooms, cleanrooms, utility spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces.
• Wear designated PPE, including respiratory protection when qualified and required.
• Operate near steam, heat, chemicals, noise, rotating equipment, and electrical systems safely.

Provide coverage for teammates, and work weekends, holidays, non‑standard shifts, and extended shutdown schedules as needed to support continuous utilities operations.

• Have no corrective actions at the written warning level in last six months / no final warning level in the last 12 months / no active PIP.
• Meet the qualifications of the position as stated above.
• Be in your current job for 12 months.
