Staff Accountant

As the Staff Accountant for Ovivo Electronics USA & Wastech Systems your primary duties will be to handle General Accounting tasks, inclusive of Bank Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Process Improvements, etc. Joining Ovivo USA Electronics Division - Ovivo Electronics USA & Wastech Systems means being part of a global team of innovative and passionate professionals who are committed to preserving water, our planet's most critical resource. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Prepare and post routine journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and other month-end adjustments. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. Support the monthly close processes by ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and deadlines are met. Review general ledger activity for accuracy, investigate variances, and coordinate corrections with cross-functional partners as needed. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash application activities, including invoice review, coding, and customer/vendor account support. Prepare bank reconciliations and support cash reporting, ensuring differences are researched and cleared promptly. Maintain accurate supporting documentation for journal entries, reconciliations, and audit requests in accordance with company policy. Assist with internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation, explaining account activity, and supporting control requirements. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency within recurring close activities. Partner with finance, operations, purchasing, and other business teams to research accounting questions and support accurate financial reporting. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures Position Details The position will be in our Plano, TX location. The position is full-time and non-salaried (hourly). The base hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the potential for extended work hours based on the business needs. Minimum Qualifications: Two years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe application programs. Ability to learn company standard software. Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Basic knowledge of accounting rules and regulations. Ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task and prioritize as required. Self-starter and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Experience with Concur, Syteline, or equivalent software Ability to apply principles of logic to daily routine practical problems. Ability to make decisions requiring the use of different variables applied to standard situations. Annual or Hourly Compensation Range: The pay for this role is $29-$32.50/hr Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
