Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a reliable, agile approach while using technology to document activity and assist those on site.

Pay Rate: $16.37 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with verifying authorized entry, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Support daily operations by preparing clear incident reports, following post instructions, and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
