About the Position

Job Title

Nuclear Cardiology Technologist – Level 2

Location

Rochester, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (some procedures may run until 4:30 PM EST) | No on-call or weekend requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies including SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT — encompassing blood flow studies, cardiac amyloidosis, hybrid SPECT resting studies, and PET sarcoid or viability studies
• Deliver patient-centered care by explaining procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining safety standards throughout all interactions
• Acquire and process diagnostic images, perform daily quality control, and maintain radiopharmacy operations in accordance with NYSDOH guidelines
• Manage and document patient data within the electronic records system and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety standards
• Collaborate with nuclear cardiology leadership and colleagues to implement new technologies and continuously improve lab protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
• Minimum of 6 months of Cardiac Imaging experience
• NYS Radiologic Technology License required
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required
• CT certification required to perform CT scans

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program
