• 2+ years of current HR experience with a strong focus on Employee Relations, including progressive discipline, performance management, workplace investigations, and coaching in a corporate environment.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, guidelines, and other applicable local, State, and Federal laws with the ability to apply this knowledge to employee relations decisions.
• Strong experience drafting and reviewing employee relations documentation (disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, investigation summaries) with attention to accuracy, consistency, and legal/compliance considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive employee relations and partner with management to drive HR and business initiatives.
• Bachelor's Degree or currently pursuing degree in HR Management or current SHRM Certification (PHR, SPHR, or GPHR). Proficiency with HRIS systems is a plus.
• Intermediate skills in programs such as MS Word and Outlook.
• Proficiency in Excel (must know how to use IF statements, create complex formulas, perform VLOOKUP's, countifs, conditional formatting, pivot tables, and reports.
• Must have advanced written and verbal communication skills both in English and Spanish to communicate at different levels throughout the organization and with exterior organizations, candidates, etc.
• Must have the ability to communicate in English/Spanish
• Possess organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and be detail-oriented.
• Possess high energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities, work independently with limited supervision, multitask, and possess strong initiative.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.
• Experience in a high-volume or operational environment managing multiple employee relations cases simultaneously is strongly preferred. xhyhwjd
• Prior experience preparing for litigation and dealing with counsel requests.
