Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a deep understanding of their unique situations.

• Collaborate closely with clients to design personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring interventions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Educate and empower clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster greater understanding and comfort.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress, maintaining detailed records of treatment outcomes and adjusting plans as needed to ensure continued efficacy.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and support the holistic well-being of clients.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the highest level of client privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your compassionate support will directly affect individuals from various backgrounds, including marginalized populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your role is pivotal in guiding these clients towards recovery and promoting sustainable health.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an active and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
