Tech Temp - Pool Technician

Job Summary Plan, organize, and implement fitness programs for the Georgia Tech community. Provide group fitness classes, instructional classes, or personal training, including aerobic exercise, weight training, dance, martial arts, flexibility, and other formats. This position advises participants, monitors program results, attends mandatory training, and participates in campus recreation events. Responsibilities Provide fitness instruction to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and affiliates. Organize and oversee daily operations of the assigned area, ensuring consistency with policy. Monitor program results and take corrective actions or implement enhancements. Attend all meetings and mandatory in‑service trainings. Participate in Georgia Tech and campus recreation special events as needed. Deliver sub‑classes and/or fitness sessions as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma, GED certificate, or vocational school diploma. One year of aquatics experience; desire to learn pool systems. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Testing and balancing water chemistry. Cleaning pools. Inspecting and repairing equipment. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Resetting the pool deck after swim meets. Pressure washing and sweeping facility. Other Information This is not a supervisory position. No financial responsibilities. No driving required. Position is not considered a trust position. No purchasing card required. No travel required. No security clearance required.
