What you'll do:Lead category strategy development and execution for a highly complex merchandising category, aligning with long-term business objectives.Manage profit and loss responsibilities, analyzing financial data to drive pricing, inventory, and promotional decisions.Oversee supplier negotiations, establishing terms, performance metrics, and communication to ensure category profitability.Direct team management activities including performance development, task prioritization, and career guidance.Utilize data analytics to inform assortment, modular layout, and channel strategies that enhance customer experience.Collaborate cross-functionally to support supply chain, marketing, and private brand initiatives.Drive continuous improvement by implementing technology and process enhancements aligned with company goals.What you'll bring:Proven expertise in category and financial management with a strong track record of profit and loss ownership.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive category and channel strategies aligned with business objectives.Experience leading and managing high-performing teams, including talent development and performance management.Strong negotiation skills with suppliers to drive price leadership and favorable terms.Proficiency in leveraging data analytics and digital tools to inform merchandising decisions and optimize assortment.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.Exceptional business planning and product strategy capabilities.
