Work Environment

The physical therapist role is conducted onsite at our well-equipped outpatient office in Chantilly. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations relating to orthopedic conditions.
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Providing thorough documentation of evaluations, treatment outcomes, and discharge plans in adherence to regulatory standards.
• Supervising support staff and offering mentorship to physical therapy aides and students, fostering professional development within the team.
• Engaging with the wider healthcare team, including physicians and interdisciplinary professionals, to ensure seamless patient care collaboration.
• Participating in community outreach programs and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the facility.
• Staying updated on advancements in physical therapy practices through ongoing education and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will primarily focus on orthopedic patients of all ages, addressing a wide range of musculoskeletal and functional impairments, such as post-surgical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and chronic pain management. You will be responsible for establishing rapport with patients and their families, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their goals and needs throughout the treatment process. Your ability to provide culturally competent care will be essential to improve patient experiences and outcomes.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and general computer software applications.
