Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on various facets of communication including articulation, fluency, and voice.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and physicians to develop integrated care plans that enhance patient outcomes.
• Engage in educational sessions for patients and families to foster improvement and independence outside of a clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless treatment process.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner following best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based treatment techniques for patients of all ages, along with expertise in evaluating and addressing speech and language disorders.
