Senior Director of Development for Network Hospitals

The client is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Senior Director of Development for Network Hospitals to help drive philanthropic results across three network hospitals within the hospital system. This role will provide leadership and oversight for development activity and performance during a period of transformation and fundraising growth, supporting alignment, consistency, and measurable philanthropic outcomes. Reporting to the Associate Chief Development Officer for Network Hospitals, the Senior Director will lead and manage a small team across the assigned hospital locations, providing coaching, accountability, and team performance to optimize growth opportunities. The Senior Director will serve as a dedicated fundraising partner to senior hospital leadership at one of the locations, working closely with hospital leadership, physicians, and volunteers to advance strategic philanthropic priorities and manage a focused, comprehensive portfolio of major gift prospects and donors. The position will oversee the full major gifts cycle, including qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, with personal success expected at the six- and seven-figure levels. The successful candidate will have at least five years of progressive fundraising experience, people management experience preferred, and a track record of success in an academic medical center or similarly complex university setting; the role also requires familiarity with fundraising best practices, data-informed strategy, and the credibility and maturity to engage effectively with clinical and executive stakeholders.
