About the Role

This is the founding marketing hire at a Y Combinator–backed consumer wearable startup , owning marketing end-to-end as the company approaches its consumer launch. You'll shape brand, social, community, and go-to-market strategy from the ground up — and grow into leading the marketing org as the team scales.

What You'll Do

• Own all marketing as the first dedicated marketing hire, covering brand, social, communications, and product launch.

• Build and grow the brand's social presence and community ahead of consumer launch.

• Lead influencer and creator partnerships to drive awareness and adoption at scale.

• Own go-to-market strategy and execution for the consumer wearable device.

• Design and scale the marketing organization as the company grows.

What We're Looking For

• 2–3+ years of marketing experience with a proven track record in consumer hardware or wearables .

• End-to-end ownership of marketing across brand, social, communications, and product launch.

• Hands-on experience building influencer and creator partnerships and community at scale for consumer brands.

• Strong consumer taste and a scrappy, operator mindset — comfortable executing without a large team or budget.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and scale a marketing function from an early stage, including org design and people leadership.

• Deep expertise in social media and community management for consumer audiences.

• Background in consumer goods or consumer tech (not B2B or enterprise-focused roles).

• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $80,000–$125,000 USD annually , plus meaningful equity (up to 1–2%) as a founding team member. Visa sponsorship is not available ; H-1B transfers are accepted.
