Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Registered Nurse, PACU – Marysville, California. This travel temporary assignment begins on 08/10/2026 for an 8-week duration in a short-term acute care hospital. Weekly pay ranges from $1,990 to $2,025 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care for PACU patients across age groups, ensuring safety and efficient recovery.
- Monitor and document vital signs, airway status, oxygenation, ventilation, pain, and neurologic status; adjust care plans as ordered.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to optimize recovery and coordinate transfers or discharge.
- Administer medications, including IV sedation and analgesia, and manage equipment and monitoring devices; maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record.
- Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to an appropriate unit and deliver basic discharge teaching to patients and families.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year of hire for PACU roles
- IV Sedation competency within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care or PACU experience; BSN preferred
- Ability to work in a PACU environment and demonstrate competency in dysrhythmia where applicable; EPIC experience preferred
