Join Our Team as a Licensed P&C Insurance Agent – Inside Sales Orion180 is launching a high-performance internal insurance agency dedicated to providing a 5-star client experience through personal, service-focused insurance solutions. Our mission is to match each homeowner with the right coverage while making the quoting and binding process seamless, informative, and stress-free. We’re looking for Licensed Insurance Agents who demonstrate integrity, sales excellence, and customer care in every interaction. This role offers a competitive base salary plus an uncapped commission structure. This is a pure sales role designed for high-performing agents who want to focus exclusively on quoting, closing, and earning — without renewals, service work, or cold calling. What you’ll do Own the Full Sales Cycle: Serve as a trusted advisor from initial contact to policy issuance, leading clients through the quoting and binding process while ensuring they are fully informed about coverage options, policy terms, exclusions, and subsequent steps. Consult, Qualify & Close: Engage warm inbound and outbound leads (absolutely no cold calling), uncover coverage needs through strategic discovery, and guide clients to the right coverage using our proprietary MY180 platform. Document Thoroughly: Capture every call, outcome, quote, and client detail using structured workflows, call scripts, and compliance protocols. Leverage Tools: Operate efficiently with HubSpot CRM, and MY180 quoting software to manage your book and meet service-level expectations. Meet & Exceed Goals: Consistently hit KPIs in areas such as policy volume, premium, conversion rates, retention, and documentation accuracy. Cross-Sell Strategically: Recommend additional coverages in alignment with underwriting guidelines and customer needs. Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Sales leadership, Underwriting, Marketing, and Analytics to improve customer outcomes and optimize internal workflows. Contribute to a Winning Culture: Share best practices, support teammates, and help build a high-performing sales organization from the ground up. What We’re looking for Required Licenses Active Utah or Texas General Lines P&C license in good standing Willingness to obtain a Surplus Lines License within 60 days of hire Experience 2+ years’ experience closing personal lines P&C in a call center or direct-to-customer environment Track record of consistently hitting volume-based quotas and familiarity with metrics Understanding of homeowners’ insurance coverages, deductibles, limitations, and exclusions Comfortable operating in a new environment where processes are still being built and the ability to contribute to improving them Prior experience using a CRM like HubSpot, familiarity with quoting systems, and multi-line product offerings Skills Self-starter that is competitive and goal-driven Strong communication, discovery, and objection-handling skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-first, high-accountability culture What’s in it for you Compensation: Competitive base salary of $60,000 plus an uncapped commission structure Dynamic Environment: On-site role with a fast-paced and collaborative team culture. An employee must be willing and able to work their regularly assigned work schedule onsite, and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company or departmental needs, project requirements, or customer demands. While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by speaking, listening, understanding, and reading; the ability to lift light objects (under 25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.
