Embark on a rewarding school-based contract as a dedicated professional working with students K-12. This position is ideal for either a licensed school counselor or a school-certified social worker, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people across diverse grade levels.

Enjoy a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, with workdays running from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The contract spans the academic year from August 12, 2026, through May 28, 2027. While your primary focus will be supporting students’ well-being and academic growth, your caseload will be determined prior to the start, ensuring a manageable and impactful experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Certification as either a school counselor or a school social worker
• Prior experience supporting children and adolescents in educational settings preferred
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students based on need
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to support social, emotional, and behavioral growth
• Work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and parents to foster a supportive school environment
• Contribute to and participate in IEP/504 meetings and other multidisciplinary teams as needed
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines
