Step into a meaningful role supporting K-8 students across two vibrant school locations near Des Plaines, IL! This in-person contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated School Psychologist with a passion for student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
- Valid Illinois PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience
- Demonstrated commitment to core values of equity, perseverance, and integrity
- Persistent focus on the success of every child
- Deep understanding of MTSS, special education, and Section 504 compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively assess and support academic and social-emotional needs that impact student learning and relationships
- Collaborate as a valued member of school-based teams (SPED, 504, MTSS)
- Lead interventions and monitor progress for Tier 3 scholars, ensuring effective support plans are implemented
- Prepare thorough documentation and reports in accordance with compliance timelines
- Liaise with outside agencies for comprehensive student support when necessary
- Maintain detailed records for direct services, progress monitoring, and collaborations while adhering to confidentiality guidelines
- Stay current with best practices, sharing information and providing professional development to colleagues and school stakeholders
- Attend meetings regularly, offering expertise and communicating with parents and staff to address student needs effectively
Additional Details:
- Serve a K-8 caseload of 60 students split between two school locations
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, all in person
