How we care for our clients is central to everything we build.The RoleAllied Maker is seeking a polished, highly capable professional to join our Client Strategy team as Assistant Showroom Manager.This is a junior, mentored role for someone who already operates at a high standard and is ready to expand their capabilities within a luxury design and manufacturing studio. It is not necessary to have prior lighting experience, but the right person will bring a strong foundation in client service, excellent judgment, genuine curiosity, and the desire to develop real expertise.The Assistant Showroom Manager is often the first voice a client, architect, or designer hears and the primary point of contact for visitors to our Tribeca showroom. The role exists to make every interaction feel calm, competent, personal, and unmistakably Allied Maker. You will manage inquiries, welcome and guide showroom visitors, introduce clients to our collection and custom capabilities, track follow-ups, and support the Client Strategy team in moving projects forward. Over time, you will develop a sophisticated understanding of our materials, products, process, and language, as well as how luxury lighting is specified, produced, and delivered.Our Tribeca showroom is one of the most beautiful working environments in the city. You will be surrounded by the work we make and represent it to discerning architects, interior designers, developers, and private clients working on significant projects. The environment requires someone with a refined eye, genuine warmth, strong follow-through, and the composure to match the people walking through our door.Key ResponsibilitiesClient CommunicationAnswer inbound calls and general inquiries with warmth, composure, and clarityRepresent Allied Maker through a voice and tone appropriate to a luxury design studioListen carefully, ask thoughtful clarifying questions, and route inquiries appropriatelyRespond to general email inquiries promptly and professionallyRecognize when an issue should be escalated and communicate it clearly to the appropriate team memberHandle moments of client frustration with patience, discretion, sound judgment, and emotional intelligenceFollow through on client needs and ensure that commitments are not lost between conversationsShowroom Experience and Daily OperationsWelcome visiting clients, designers, architects, vendors, and guestsEnsure that every arrival and showroom interaction reflects the Allied Maker brandGuide visitors through the collection and provide thoughtful, accurate product informationMaintain a showroom environment that is organized, polished, presentable, and ready for clients at all timesCoordinate appointments, refreshments, meeting preparation, and transitions between visitsMonitor showroom materials, samples, literature, and suppliesSupport the planning and execution of showroom events, trade programs, and presentationsClient Strategy and Administrative SupportSupport the Client Strategy team with scheduling, follow-up tracking, document preparation, and CRM updatesPrepare materials for client meetings, showroom visits, presentations, and trade eventsAssist with sample requests, shipments, mail, and related operational tasksMaintain accurate client and project information in internal systemsTrack open items and follow through until they are resolvedHelp ensure that information moves cleanly between clients, the showroom, and the broader Allied Maker teamTake ownership of recurring responsibilities and complete them reliably without repeated promptingLearning and GrowthDevelop a thorough understanding of Allied Maker's collections, materials, finishes, specifications, and custom capabilitiesLearn the design intent and craftsmanship behind the productsBuild an understanding of the lighting industry and the needs of architects, interior designers, lighting designers, and other specifiersAsk thoughtful questions, retain information, and apply what you learn in future client interactionsAccept feedback constructively and incorporate it into your workTake on increasing client and showroom responsibility as your knowledge and capability growQualificationsApproximately 2 to 4 years of experience in a polished, client-facing environmentExperience in luxury retail, fashion, hospitality, showrooms, galleries, design, or a related field is preferredExceptional written and verbal communication skillsA natural ability to make people feel welcomed, understood, and well cared forHigh attention to detail and strong organizational habitsReliable follow-through and the discipline to close loopsComposure when working with discerning clients, significant projects, and complex timelinesGenuine curiosity about design, materials, craftsmanship, and how things are madeStrong judgment about when to act independently and when to ask for guidanceProficiency with standard business toolsExperience with Wrike or NetSuite is helpful but not requiredAvailability to work on-site in the Tribeca showroom Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PMWhat We Are Looking ForPolished and professional without feeling formal or rehearsedWarm, attentive, and emotionally intelligentAccurate, organized, and consistentCalm under pressureProactive about follow-throughReceptive to direct feedback and mentorshipInterested in developing genuine product expertiseAble to represent the company with discretion and good judgmentMotivated to grow with a company that is expanding quicklyProud to contribute to an exceptional client experience at every levelCompensation and BenefitsAnnual salary of $75,000 to $85,000, based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with a 4% company matchPaid time off and company holidaysDirect mentorship from company founders and senior leadershipExposure to significant residential, hospitality, and commercial design projectsThe opportunity to represent a real product with a meaningful storyA team that takes craft, design, and execution seriously at every levelMeaningful room to grow as Allied Maker continues to expandTo ApplyPlease submit a résumé and a brief note describing your experience in client service, showrooms, hospitality, luxury retail, design, or another relevant environment.Allied Maker is an equal opportunity employer.
