Dietary Supervisor

The Dietary Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Food Service Director in the creation of high-quality meals and the delivering of a meaningful dining experience for clients in our long term skilled nursing facility. Pay rate: $17.00/hr Job Type: Full-time and Part time; Full Time Position Hours: 6am-2pm and every other weekend required; Part Time Position Hours: 4pm-8pm/12pm-8pm every other weekend required; Responsibilities include: Overseeing and assisting the food service staff with meal preparation based on established menus, regulations, policies, procedures and best practices Assist with meal preparation and service for meals delivered to residents Ensure proper temperatures and food safety practices are followed and documented as needed Ensure meals are completed and served on time and in proper portions to meet state regulations Maintain and monitor accurate meal documentation records per established procedures. Assist with cleaning of equipment and work areas Give directive to dietary staff members Follow production guides and menus for the proper production of meals for service, as required. Coordinates and plans food preparation activities for special events. Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies. Oversee dietary aides to ensure proper cleaning, production, and job tasks are completed Oversees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, and equipment. Qualifications: Must possess, as a minimum a high school or equivalent education. Completion of a food service supervisor course preferred, Certified Dietary Manager preferred. One (1) year food service experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting. Knowledge of state and federal food-handling and kitchen regulations (Serve Safe Certification). Must possess knowledge of food service operations. Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
