A well-established workers' compensation defense law firm is seeking an experienced full-time Legal Secretary to join its Orange, California office. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while following established office procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Candidates should have proficiency in workers' compensation law, along with familiarity with EAMS and electronic filing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen and manage attorney phone calls.
• Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy case files.
• Maintain proof of service lists and medical indexes.
• Copy, scan, and convert documents to PDF.
• Review the office calendar daily and proactively assist with upcoming events.
• Track deadlines for serving and filing pleadings and ensure timely completion.
• Schedule, coordinate, file, and serve notices for depositions, medical examinations, and hearings.
• Coordinate court reporters and interpreters.
• Maintain deposition and court calendars.
• Follow up with medical providers regarding appointments and reports.
• Communicate with lien claimants and assist with related inquiries.
• Perform additional administrative and case-support duties as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $25.00-$37.00 per hour, depending on experience.
