Make a significant impact supporting students as a school-based social worker for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This long-term contract runs from ASAP through June 2027, offering you stability and the chance to grow your professional experience in an academic setting. Multiple positions are available, each serving an engaging, collaborative school community. You’ll be working full-time, Monday through Friday, 35–37.5 hours per week.
The available caseloads include K-4, K-2, and K-12, with each focusing on emotional support (ES) and/or autism support (AS). As you help students overcome barriers to learning, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and specialists, fostering holistic student development.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Social Worker licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- School social work experience preferred, especially with K-12
- Expertise supporting students with emotional and/or autism support needs
- Strong communication, advocacy, and relationship-building skills
- Flexibility plus the ability to thrive in dynamic, school-based environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students, including counseling and crisis intervention
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to create individualized support plans
- Advocate for student access to school and community resources
- Monitor and document student progress and outcomes
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
