Junior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Junior Accountant for a financial services company located in Oak Brook, IL. We’re looking for someone with strong Excel skills, solid analytical ability, and at least an accounting internship, ideally within public accounting or financial services. This individual will support core accounting functions including maintaining records, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with AP/AR. Position: Junior Accountant Location: Oak Brook, IL Type: Direct Hire Worksite: Fully Onsite Key Responsibilities Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly general ledger entries Manage and reconcile financial data Support month-end close and assist in preparing monthly financial statements Process adjusting entries for amortizations and prepaids Analyze and reconcile retainage and AP ledgers Gather and organize documentation for various transactions Assist with financial reporting Support AP and AR functions Assist with administrative tasks Complete high-volume balance sheet reconciliations Help with payroll administration Requirements Internship experience within Public Accounting or a corporate accounting department Solid understanding of accounting principles Proven ability to set goals and prioritize work Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Results-driven with a process-oriented mindset Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
