Sr. Planner, Product Feature Strategy

Location: Franklin, TN Job Schedule: Full-time hybrid Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree Role Overview Sr. Planner, Product Feature Strategy for Nissan North America in Franklin, TN. The Product Planning team realizes next‑generation vehicles and supports specifications of current‑generation vehicles on the market year‑over‑year throughout their lifecycle. As part of the Cross‑Car‑Line Feature Strategy team, the Sr. Product Planner guides and manages features and innovations that give models and families of models the tools they need to compete and delight customers. Responsibilities Perform data mining and analysis to extract focused customer insights that deeply understand the market and customers. Create robust proposals using storytelling with clear, data‑driven, and compelling content to drive decision‑making. Develop and present compelling feature strategy concepts considering Nissan & INFINITI target customers, brand identity, market trends, competitive offerings, feature value, desirability, costs, and potential profitability. Collaborate with teams, departments, and regions to work within Nissan corporate structure to achieve results. Participate in multiple evening/nighttime meetings with global counterparts to advance priorities and resolve open issues. Maintain knowledge of current vehicle and competitor features and technologies, especially for enriching onboard experiences. Support development of portfolio, model, and grade specifications. Support vehicle program teams as SME on subjects broadly applicable to many vehicles in the portfolio. Perform other related duties as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 6 or more years of experience in a related area with broad analytical aptitude utilizing historical, statistical, and empirical data in the automotive sector. Experience creating clear and compelling data‑driven presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency at proposal storytelling, developing robust, clear, data‑driven, and compelling proposals. Strong understanding of the total product planning lifecycle. Experience working in cross‑functional and cross‑cultural teams. Experience using and analyzing syndicated automotive marketing data sources such as AutoKnowledge, Autoplanner, S&P Catalyst, JD Power PIN, mTAB, and Strategic Vision NVES. Excellent interpersonal, listening, negotiating, and communication skills. Travel Up to 10% day and overnight travel, including periodic evening and weekend travel.
