Maintenance AssistantAurora on France is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in our Ebenezer Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care)! This role monitors preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment, trains other building staff, as needed, on basic trouble-shooting of building systems and equipment at our spacious care center TCU in Edina, MN.This position includes:80 hours per two weeksDay/evening shiftWeekends as neededAurora on France is a new, innovative senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital in the heart of Edina, MN. Located conveniently near Hwy. 62 and France Ave. and is on a bus line. Aurora has 136 units offering a full continuum of care including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. This includes the following:Repairs items found deficient by maintenance or requested by work orders.Changes filters and check belts on air handle units.Checks kitchen equipment.Greases, checks belts and oils on laundry equipment.Helps in housekeeping as requested.Assists with moving boxes, furniture, etc.Maintains shop in a clean and orderly manner.Removes snow from sidewalks and walkways and uses ice melt on sidewalks as needed (where applicable).Trims around bushes, trees, and sidewalks.Removes debris and downed palm fronds (where applicable).Keeps grounds safe and looking neat and attractive.Processes work orders and performs other duties as assigned.Assists with turnover of apartments for new residents.Required Qualifications1 year experience with mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systemsDrivers LicensePreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDEbenezer offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
