Pain Management Physician Assistant

Position Overview

Stonebridge Pain Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated and proficient Physician Assistant (PA) to enhance our dynamic team dedicated to improving the lives of patients with chronic pain issues. This full-time role operates onsite within our surgical center located in Plattsburgh, New York, where you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations to diagnose conditions accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans that address specific patient needs in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with state regulations and best practices in pain management.
• Perform pain management procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, demonstrating proficiency in procedural skills.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records utilizing our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous education and training sessions focusing on the latest trends and methodologies in pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. Our practice is dedicated to understanding the complexities of each patient's situation, allowing us to provide holistic and tailored treatments that aim to alleviate suffering and improve overall functionality.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in pain management or a related medical field is required.
• A current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying body.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
• A compassionate, patient-centered mindset, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Preferred Experience

Experience with EMR systems is strongly encouraged, as is familiarity with procedural techniques relevant to pain management. Additional certifications related to pain management procedures can enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary that ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, employees are eligible for production bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
