Our outpatient office may also serve as a resource for in-person client sessions and team meetings as needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will take on a variety of essential responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and unique needs.

• Developing, implementing, and adjusting individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaboratively set client goals.
\n
• Providing engaging individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Monitoring and documenting clients' progress in therapy, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to their evolving needs.

• Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care and referrals.

• Advocating for clients' rights and access to vital mental health resources, ensuring they receive quality support tailored to their circumstances.

• Upholding strict confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of practice as established by state licensing boards and professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on clients facing mood disorders and related mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within New York State.
\n
• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities specifically designed for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to optimize treatment outcomes.

• A proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in treating mood disorders and related concerns.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders will be given preference. This experience sets the foundation for effective treatment strategies and the ability to relate empathetically to client struggles.

Compensation and Benefits\n
