Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a contract position in Horsham, PA. This role involves working collaboratively within a healthcare setting to ensure optimal medication management and patient care. As part of a dynamic team, the Pharmacist will play a crucial role in maintaining pharmaceutical integrity and advising patients effectively.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law and prescribed medicines are suitable for patients.
• Accurately maintain confidential records and manage patient records and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients about medicines, including administration, potential reactions, and questions.
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications regarding storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Offer services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for external or internal use and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff members, including pharmacy technicians and clerks.
• Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare practitioners.
• Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements of the Pharmacist

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Licensed by the state pharmacy board.
• Preferred experience in LTC with AS 400 operating system.
