Empower students to succeed and make a real impact in education as a contract paraprofessional in the Kansas City, MO area! Three positions are currently available with roles spanning elementary and middle school environments. These assignments provide the opportunity to work one-on-one or within classroom settings, supporting students’ academic and behavioral growth.

Ideal candidates bring classroom experience, a passion for working with children, and a willingness to adapt to changing needs throughout the school year. Your support will help create an inclusive, positive learning environment for students and staff alike.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active substitute certificate on DESE required
• Previous experience within schools, particularly working with student behavior
• Flexibility and readiness to change assignments as needed throughout the year
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to complete fingerprinting requirements; candidates cover this cost up front
• Ability to support students in both individual and group settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with academic or behavioral needs in elementary and middle schools
• Assist classroom teachers with instruction, daily tasks, and classroom management
• Implement individualized education and behavior plans, under direction of educators
• Foster a nurturing, respectful environment that encourages student engagement
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
