Location: Remote (U.S.) — East Coast / Eastern Time zone strongly preferred Employment Type: Full-Time, Independent Contractor (1099), 40 hours/week Compensation: $180,000–$216,000/year (paid monthly, approx. $15,000–$18,000/month), commensurate with experience

About the Role

We're hiring a remote Physician Assistant to serve as our Clinical Quality Lead , owning quality assurance and performance improvement across our telehealth platform. You'll review escalated clinical cases, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and partner with medical leadership to drive continuous improvement in patient safety and care delivery — all from a fully remote, work-from-home role.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute the organization's quality assurance and performance improvement strategy across all service lines

Design and lead clinical audit processes to ensure adherence to protocols and evidence-based guidelines

Review escalated clinical cases and monitor provider performance, documentation accuracy, and patient safety indicators

Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for quality events or adverse outcomes

Analyze quality trends, track incidents, and identify opportunities for improvement

Present quality performance reports to executive leadership and liaise with provider network partners

Onboard and train new providers on quality standards, audit processes, and documentation requirements

Serve as an ongoing point of contact for providers on quality-related questions and feedback

Communicate directly with patients following adverse or suboptimal outcomes, coordinating care and appropriate follow-up

Maintain audit and inspection readiness, and support regulatory compliance and risk mitigation efforts

What We're Looking For

Current, active certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) through the NCCPA — required; this role is not open to NPs or other clinical credentials

Active, unrestricted license to practice as a PA in at least one U.S. state — this role involves minimal to no prescribing, so additional state licensure is a plus but not required

Prior experience in clinical quality assurance, utilization review, case review, or healthcare compliance (telehealth experience a plus)

Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards and evidence-based care protocols

Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action planning, or clinical risk management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to executive leadership and speaking directly with patients about care concerns

Based in or able to work core hours in the Eastern time zone (or similar); self-directed, organized, and comfortable working in a fully remote, fast-paced environment
