Facilities Maintenance TechnicianMedical Device Manufacturing | $22.50/hour | Day Shift

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining the building, equipment, and grounds while supporting a safe and efficient workplace.

Perform general facility repairs, including walls, doors, ceilings, office fixtures, and minor construction projects

Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on:

• Electrical systems
• Plumbing systems
• HVAC equipment

Complete light carpentry, painting, cleaning, and exterior maintenance

Support preventive maintenance activities on facility equipment

Maintain and service workplace appliances, including:

• Refrigerators
• Freezers
• Coffee machines
• Microwaves
• Dishwashers

Assist with facility improvements, office moves, and ergonomic workstation setups

Work with outside vendors and contractors when needed

Use a computerized maintenance system (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance activities

Provide updates on maintenance projects and respond to facility requests in a timely manner

Participate in an on-call security rotation as part of the facilities team

• At least 6 months of facilities maintenance experience
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Experience using hand and power tools safely
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using computers and maintenance tracking software
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Experience in biotech, life sciences, manufacturing, or medical device environments
• Preventive maintenance experience
• Familiarity with facility documentation and compliance procedures
• Experience working with vendors and contractors

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
