Staff Accountant

About the Opportunity

Are you a recent accounting graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build your experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations? We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and support a variety of accounting functions while gaining hands-on exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post general ledger, bank, and payroll journal entries.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Support month-end and year-end close activities.
Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and reports.
Help gather documentation and schedules for annual audits.
Analyze financial data and identify unusual variances.
Collaborate with departments across the organization to improve financial reporting and processes.
Participate in special projects and other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Location: South Bend, IN

Pay: 65k-70k
