Accounting Supervisor

Supervise aspects of the accounting department Coordinate the implementation of accounting controls Supervise monthly close activities Prepare or oversee preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports Organize and schedule resources required to accomplish activities Analyze and reconcile financial information, general ledger accounts, and other reports Prepare and analyze forecasts and projections Provide financial support to district managers and maintenance managers Train employees, conduct evaluations, and manage productivity Approve AP invoices and P-card transactions Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications Requirements Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience 5 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement) REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative, or willingness to obtain one if required for air travel or access to federal property Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in supervising accounting functions, implementing controls, and preparing financial statements.
