The Front Desk Agent supports guest-facing operations at a full-service or boutique hotel, delivering efficient, welcoming service throughout the guest experience. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager, this role works day, rotating, evening, and weekend shifts and offers opportunities to advance to Senior Front Desk Agent, Front Office Supervisor, or Guest Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes.
- Handle reservations and update booking information.
- Process guest payments and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Assist guests with requests, questions, and service needs.
- Provide professional telephone support and communication.
- Coordinate lobby activities and maintain an organized front desk area.
- Address and resolve guest complaints appropriately.
- Maintain guest records and prepare front desk reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in hotel front desk operations.
- Experience with property management and reservation systems.
- Knowledge of payment processing and cash handling.
- Strong customer service and telephone etiquette.
- Conflict resolution and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
