Tax Manager – Remote

Location: 100% Remote

Our client firm that is looking to add an experienced Tax Manager to its team. This is a fully remote position with responsibility for tax preparation, review, client service, and tax planning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Review 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S returns
• Work directly with clients on tax planning, compliance, and questions
• Review tax work prepared by staff and senior accountants
• Assist with more complex tax issues and research
• Manage multiple client engagements and meet tax deadlines
• Provide guidance and technical support to staff
• Communicate with clients throughout the year, not just during tax season
• Identify tax planning opportunities and assist with estimated tax projections
• Stay current with federal and state tax developments

Qualifications

• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Previous tax review experience
• Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation
• Experience with 1040, 1065, 1120, and/or 1120S returns
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience with tax software and Microsoft Excel
