Tax Manager – Remote

Location: 100% Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Public Accounting / CPA Firm

Our client firm that is looking to add an experienced Tax Manager to its team. This is a fully remote position with responsibility for tax preparation, review, client service, and tax planning.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
Review 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S returns
Work directly with clients on tax planning, compliance, and questions
Review tax work prepared by staff and senior accountants
Assist with more complex tax issues and research
Manage multiple client engagements and meet tax deadlines
Provide guidance and technical support to staff
Communicate with clients throughout the year, not just during tax season
Identify tax planning opportunities and assist with estimated tax projections
Stay current with federal and state tax developments

Qualifications

CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
5+ years of public accounting tax experience
Previous tax review experience
Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation
Experience with 1040, 1065, 1120, and/or 1120S returns
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Experience with tax software and Microsoft Excel
