As a Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and report concerns in accordance with site procedures. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and report observations. Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security‑related activities. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card/license is preferred. Access control/badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
