Core Java Developer

Salary: $89,500 - 117,500 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a senior Core Java developer with strong experience in Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
• We expect hands-on expertise in Java 8, 11, or 17, along with Core Java development.
• We require solid knowledge of the US banking and financial services domain, especially payments, transaction handling, risk controls, and customer-facing banking applications.
• We need familiarity with payment rails and processing flows such as ACH, Fedwire, RTP, SWIFT, and card payments.
• We value experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka, JMS, or similar messaging technologies.
• We seek background in database development and tuning with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• We expect awareness of security and compliance practices including PCI DSS, OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and data encryption.
• We prefer experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Git in modern development and deployment workflows.
• We look for candidates who can work in Agile Scrum environments and contribute to planning, estimation, and release activities.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills are important, including mentoring junior developers and supporting architecture reviews.

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Build and improve high-volume US payment processing platforms that support critical banking transactions.
• Develop solutions for payment rails including ACH, Fedwire, RTP, SWIFT, and card payment processing.
• Partner with business operations and compliance teams to deliver solutions aligned with US banking regulations and standards.
• Create scalable, secure, and highly available backend services that can handle large transaction volumes.
• Implement event-driven solutions using Kafka, JMS, or other messaging platforms.
• Integrate payment applications with core banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party financial institutions.
• Develop and optimize database solutions using Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Ensure adherence to security standards such as PCI DSS, OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and encryption practices.
• Support payment lifecycle activities including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling.
• Take part in architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance tuning efforts.
• Support production systems, investigate urgent payment issues, and help maintain SLA compliance.
• Work within Agile Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and release coordination.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on complex banking payment initiatives.
