Director OF Sales

Job Title: Director of Sales North-East and Canada Location: North-East Region Overview: PAL Lighting is a leader in innovative pool and backyard lighting solutions. We offer a comprehensive lighting portfolio designed to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences that transform outdoor living spaces. By collaborating with pool builders, landscape designers, and other industry professionals, we ensure superior lighting that elevates every outdoor environment. The Regional Sales Director is a senior field leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth across multiple regions while maintaining direct involvement in selling activities. This position partners closely with independent sales representative groups and directly manages outside 1099 sales resources in addition to internal sales team members. We are ideally looking for someone with pool industry experience. Responsibilities: Regional & Multi-Region Leadership Oversee sales performance across multiple territories or regions, ensuring alignment with company goals and revenue targets. Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for Regional Sales Managers, direct-report sales representatives, and contracted 1099 sales resources. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned independent sales representative groups within the region. Partner with independent rep agencies to drive consistent execution, territory coverage, and account penetration. Set expectations, monitor performance, and provide direction to outside sales resources. Support key initiatives, product launches, and strategic accounts in collaboration with rep principals and field sales teams. Maintain active involvement in strategic selling, including key accounts, complex opportunities, and high-value prospects. Support Regional Sales Managers and sales representatives on major deals, ride-alongs, and customer presentations. Reinforce best practices in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing execution. Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales to execute regional strategies and initiatives. Provide market feedback, competitive insights, and field intelligence to inform product, pricing, and go-to-market decisions. Ensure consistent messaging, brand representation, and sales discipline across internal teams and external partners. Represent PAL Lighting at major industry events, rep meetings, and strategic customer engagements. Act as a senior ambassador of the PAL Lighting brand within the assigned regions. Qualifications: Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the lighting, pool, or backyard industry. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
