Director of Sales

*Must be based in either NYC metro, Chicago metro, or Boulder metro for a hybrid role when not traveling*
Key Responsibilities
- Own Retail and Foodservice revenue, P&L performance, and commercial planning across revenue, margin, trade spend, and profitability.
- Lead annual planning (AOP) and develop the multi-channel commercial roadmap in partnership with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing.
- Define channel and customer priorities across grocery, mass, club, specialty, foodservice, and emerging channels.
- Oversee pricing strategy, trade investment, retailer JBPs, and major customer agreements.
- Partner with Sales leadership on account strategy, new business development, customer planning, and key negotiations.
- Build and scale the Foodservice channel strategy, including distributor partnerships, route-to-market, and organizational growth.
- Lead the commercial operating cadence, aligning cross-functional teams on forecasts, launches, trade planning, and execution.
- Drive forecast accuracy, commercialization readiness, broker management, and distributor performance.
- Coach and develop the commercial organization while planning future team growth.
- Present commercial strategy and business performance to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of commercial leadership experience within CPG, including retail sales, sales strategy, or go-to-market leadership.
- Proven experience managing retail accounts across grocery, mass, club, specialty, and/or foodservice channels; refrigerated or fresh food experience preferred.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership with expertise in pricing, trade spend, forecasting, and commercial planning.
- Experience building or scaling commercial organizations, sales processes, or broker networks in a high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of retail commercialization, including category reviews, JBPs, promotions, pricing, and new product launches.
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
- Proven cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations.
- Strong people leader with excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
