Lead Software Engineer Java - Chicago

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of practical experience
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, or .NET
• Proven experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to set standards for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resilience and security expectations
• Practical experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide automation and workflows
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Strong command of the full Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced knowledge of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Demonstrated proficiency with software applications and technical processes in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile
• Hands-on cloud-native experience such as AWS or Azure
• Preferred: experience supporting marketing technology, customer engagement, lead management, campaign management, event technology, or CRM platforms
• Preferred: ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving product management, operations, engineering, and external vendors
• Preferred: experience evaluating, integrating, and governing enterprise SaaS platforms in a regulated environment

• We lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of emerging technologies
