Human Resources Generalist

Southern Connecticut Area | Onsite

A growing organization in the Southern Connecticut area is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, talent acquisition, HRIS management, and employee support.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Support

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and processes.
• Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR-related matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Assist with employee relations matters, documentation, and appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, policy updates, open enrollment, and other HR initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience.

Benefits Administration

• Manage benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee education.
• Serve as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve questions and issues.
• Support annual open enrollment, system setup, communications, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with year-end benefits reporting and ACA filing requirements.

HRIS, Talent Acquisition & Performance Management

• Serve as an administrator for HRIS talent acquisition and performance management modules.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and hiring timelines.
• Support and manage recruiting and talent acquisition activities.
• Configure, launch, and manage the employee performance review process.
• Troubleshoot HRIS issues and support managers and employees with system functionality.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years of talent acquisition experience.
• Experience with Paycor or a similar HRIS, including system administration and workflow optimization.
• Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, benefits, and recruiting best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
