This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing our counselors to maintain flexibility while working from home or any location of choice. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and formulate detailed diagnostic summaries.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs and goals, ensuring a personalized therapeutic approach.

• Provide individual therapy sessions for adolescents and adults, potentially including couples and families if trained.
\n
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in accordance with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and insurance requirements, ensuring compliance and best practices.

• Engage actively in peer consultation and case conferences to foster collaboration and shared learning among colleagues.

• Demonstrate a commitment to ethical standards, cultural humility, and the application of clinical best practices in all interactions.

• Utilize common electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telehealth technology to enhance client access to services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Still Point serves a rich tapestry of clients facing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and significant life transitions. By focusing on culturally responsive care, you will be equipped to address the nuanced needs of diverse populations, ensuring they receive the highest quality support and guidance throughout their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Active California LPCC licensure in good standing with the BBS.
\n
• Registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences and eligible to practice independently.
\n
• Completion of at least 6 semester units of supervised experience with couples and families if interested in providing those services.
\n
• Demonstrable experience and effectiveness working with diverse populations, coupled with a heartfelt commitment to social justice in mental health.
\n
• Formal training in at least one evidence-based therapeutic practice (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, trauma-informed therapy).

• Comfortable with technology, specifically telehealth modalities and electronic documentation systems.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of clinical counseling experience, preferably in community mental health settings.

• Experience working in a telehealth environment, demonstrating adaptability in virtual patient interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Your experience and dedication will be rewarded with a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as access to a retirement plan. The role allows you to set your own caseload, typically ranging from 10 to 30 sessions per week, and includes no-show protection to support your financial security.
