Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

Schedule:

4 days per month, 7a-3p plus beeper call

Job Setting:

Hospital - CT Surgery Department

Types of Cases:

10-15 CVICU/step-down patients per day, plus 1-2 surgeries Special procedures include temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement

Patient Population:

Adult/Geriatric

EMR:

Cerner

Credentialing:

30 days

Minimum Requirements

Board Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA)

Certifications:

ACLS and BLS

Licensure:

Active Arizona Physician Assistant license

DEA required

Experience:

Minimum 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with proficiency in Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH)
