**Litigation Attorney | DeGolia Law | Denver** When a company cheats its workers, a landlord ignores the law, or a government agency runs over someone's rights, the people harmed rarely have the resources to push back. That's where we come in. DeGolia Law is a small, scrappy firm representing workers, tenants, and consumers across Colorado against corporate and governmental wrongdoers. Our aim is to win justice for communities that are too often overlooked, and to make the people and institutions who harm them answer for it. We're hiring a Litigation Attorney to help us do that work. HOW WE PRACTICE Clients usually come to us during the hardest of times, and we give them the compassion, respect, and grace we'd want for someone we love. We build every case with trial in mind, because we're always willing to take it there. And we're direct and honest with everyone we deal with: clients, colleagues, and the other side. WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON You'll be involved from the first client meeting through verdict, including: Trauma-informed communication with clients Tracking down and interviewing witnesses Researching and developing legal theories Drafting, serving, and responding to written discovery Reviewing and organizing discovery documents Writing briefs on dispositive motions, discovery disputes, class certification, and other filings Taking and defending depositions Preparing position statements for mediations and settlement conferences Trying cases: preparing exhibits, examining witnesses, and delivering openings and closings WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Licensed to practice in Colorado 0–3 years of litigation experience (attorneys at any experience level are encouraged to apply) A demonstrated commitment to civil, consumer, and/or immigrants' rights over the course of your career Experience working with survivors of complex trauma, or the ability to do so (required) Spanish proficiency (strongly preferred) WHAT WE OFFER Base salary range is $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience. No billable hour requirement, no busy work, and no dress code.
