From employee relations to benefits, onboarding, and compliance - you'll wear many hats and be a trusted partner to both employees and management.Responsibilities include:Employee Relations & Investigations: Serve as an internal consultant and mediator, handle employee relations matters, manage disciplinary actions, and conduct workplace investigations.Recruitment & Hiring: Support end-to-end hiring including job postings, interview coordination, pre/post-hire tasks, and applicant tracking.Onboarding & Benefits: Facilitate new employee orientation and guide staff through benefits options, including health, welfare, and retirement plans.HR Operations: Maintain personnel records, support payroll and timekeeping accuracy, and ensure compliance with HR policies and labor regulations.Training & Development: Administer and support company training programs.Reporting & HR Systems: Manage headcount tracking, HRIS data entry, and provide regular reporting and analysis.Exit Process: Manage offboarding, including exit interviews and final documentation.Requirements include:Experience: 2–3 years of generalist HR experience (construction or union experience a plus)Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business preferredSkills:Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Solid understanding of HR practices, laws, and complianceStrong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skillsBonus: Familiarity with HRIS platforms and time/attendance systemsPar Plumbing started off four generations ago with a small shop in Brooklyn in 1917.
