Overview of the Accounts Payable Clerk role:
- Enter, file, and maintain Accounts Payable invoices
- Process invoices for payment accurately and timely
- Maintain and file vendor contracts
- Review materials and invoice quantities for unusual activity
- Verify field approvals via job number and cost code
- Determine taxability of materials and follow company policy for taxable invoices
- Process taxable invoices for vendor review
- Process check requests for field locations
- Maintain a highly organized work area while managing multiple priorities
- Prepare reports, business correspondence, and project documentation
- Communicate effectively with vendors, field teams, and internal departments
- Perform additional Accounts Payable duties as assigned
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Clerk:
- 1+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- MS Excel Intermediate
- Strong attention to detail and organized
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Great communication and follow-through
