Solutions Engineer

The role

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to be the technical face of Nukleas for our customers. You will own the technical relationship from first call through go-live, translating the platform into outcomes that resonate with defense contractors and their leadership. You will act as a trusted advisor who bridges our technology and the customer's needs.

You will lead technical demos and workshops, gather requirements, and design the right configuration of the Nukleas platform for each customer. You will manage onboarding from kickoff through go-live, helping customers reach first value quickly and maintaining trust from onboarding into expansion.

You are as comfortable on a client call as you are in the codebase. When a customer hits a gap or a bug, you will scope the fix or feature and push the code yourself, working directly in the platform alongside our engineering team. As the client's advocate inside Nukleas, you carry feedback from prospects and customers to our Product and Engineering teams to inform the roadmap.

The expectation is for someone who is willing to work hybrid from our office in New York City, NY, though we will consider exceptional remote candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a software engineering or client-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Implementation Manager, or Technical Account Manager.
• Experience working in a startup environment, or genuine comfort with the speed and execution a startup expects.
• Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a customer-centric approach.
• Familiarity with basic DevOps concepts and Docker.
• Familiarity with AI tools for coding, and the ability to use them to move faster.
• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and APIs, and the ability to design and lead compelling technical demos.
• Comfortable in a rapid-growth environment with a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity.

Highly Desired

• Azure/AWS DevOps experience and security certifications.
• Demonstrable experience with compliance standards such as FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and DoD Impact Levels (ILs).
• Direct experience within the Defense, Aerospace, Government, or Industrial Technology sectors.
