This remote leadership role is responsible for overseeing charge description master operations within a healthcare revenue cycle environment.
The position plays a key role in improving charge capture accuracy, compliance, and financial performance for healthcare organizations.

Accountabilities:
The Manager, CDM will oversee all chargemaster activities while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and effective collaboration across healthcare revenue cycle functions. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to improve processes that directly impact financial outcomes and patient care experiences.
- Manage daily CDM operations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of requests, updates, and system-related edits.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term departmental strategies, goals, and improvement plans.
- Ensure compliant charge capture practices, reduce billing errors, and support initiatives to minimize claim denials.
- Collaborate with clinical departments and revenue cycle teams to improve charge accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and resolve CDM-related issues across healthcare information systems.
- Support timely filing of claims and contribute to improved financial performance.
- Lead initiatives focused on reducing discharged-not-final-billed (DNFB) challenges and improving workflow effectiveness.
- Empower team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
- Establish performance expectations, coach employees, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance assessments and maintain improvements through structured processes and reporting.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational standards and service objectives.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings healthcare revenue cycle expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and experience managing complex chargemaster processes. They should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with multiple stakeholders across healthcare operations.
- Proven experience managing chargemaster (CDM) activities within a hospital, health system, or healthcare revenue cycle environment.
- Strong understanding of charge capture processes, billing compliance, revenue cycle operations, and claim management.
- Experience leading teams, developing employees, and driving departmental performance improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze workflows, identify operational gaps, and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems and CDM-related edits.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders.
- Ability to establish clear goals, measure performance, and deliver measurable improvements.
